FAQ

How much does it cost to work with you?

There are no fees to work with me — ever. I earn a commission from the travel suppliers (hotels, resorts, cruise lines, etc.) when I book your trip. That means you get personalized, expert planning at no extra cost to you.

Why should I use a travel agent instead of booking online myself?

You absolutely can book online — but working with me means you get personalized recommendations based on real experience, access to rates and perks not available to the public, someone to handle the details and logistics, and a real person to call if something goes wrong. Most clients say the biggest benefit is simply the peace of mind.

Do you only plan trips for families?

You absolutely can book online — but working with me means you get personalized recommendations based on real experience, access to rates and perks not available to the public, someone to handle the details and logistics, and a real person to call if something goes wrong. Most clients say the biggest benefit is simply the peace of mind.

How far in advance should I reach out?

The earlier the better, especially for peak travel seasons, popular destinations, or group trips. For most family vacations, 3–6 months ahead is ideal. That said, I've pulled together last-minute trips too — don't hesitate to reach out even if your timeline is tight.

What happens after I reach out?

I'll get back to you within 48 hours to schedule a discovery call. We'll spend 20–30 minutes talking about your trip — your destination ideas, travel style, budget, and any must-haves. From there, I'll put together a personalized proposal within a few days. Check out How It Works page on my website for more details of the process!

Can I make changes after the trip is booked?

Yes, within reason. I'll always be upfront about any change fees from airlines or hotels. For flexible bookings, changes are usually straightforward. I'll handle all the coordination so you don't have to deal with hold times or confusing policies.

Do you book flights?

Yes — I can book flights as part of a full trip package. For standalone flight-only bookings, I typically recommend booking directly with the airline for maximum flexibility, but I'm happy to advise on routes, timing, and what to look for.

Do you handle travel insurance?

I always recommend travel insurance for every trip, and I'll point you to the right resources so you can review your options and make an informed decision. The details of what's covered can vary a lot by policy, so I'll always send you the details to make sure you know what you're receiving!

What if something goes wrong while we're traveling?

I'll do my absolute best to help resolve any issues that come up — that's part of what I'm here for. That said, some things are outside anyone's control, which is exactly why I always recommend travel insurance before you go. Having the right coverage means you're protected even in situations where neither of us can fix things on the fly.

Will I get a detailed itinerary before we leave?

Yes — I send every client a personalized travel guide about two weeks before departure. It includes your day-by-day itinerary, confirmation numbers, local tips, packing suggestions, emergency contacts, and anything else you'll need to feel prepared and excited.
